Have you ever wanted to touch a prayer? Feel it surround you? Hug and squeeze it to know it is real?
Our Tactile Prayer Ministry helps to make that happen! Prayer shawls that can be wrapped around your shoulders, Prayer blankets that can be laid across your lap or curled up with in your bed, and Prayer squares and fidgets that can be carried with you and squeezed and stretched and squished in your pocket or purse are all knitted, crocheted, quilted, or tied by our members!
In the entry space to our worship space, you can find a display of a sampling of all these Prayers!
If you know someone in need of Prayer (even YOU), you are free to TAKE a Prayer shawl or blanket or square… whatever best suits their needs! If you don’t see one that meets your needs, ask as we have a supply available.
You may fill out a brochure to share a bit about the specific prayers requests for that individual, though it is not required.
If you would like to be a part of MAKING these prayers, we meet monthly at St. Mark Village in the Hobby Room from 10am-Noon.
